Comment: The location was perfect for a get away in Malmö. The room wasn't that "superior" (not worth the upgrade) and the breakfast was so disappointing (awful mashine-coffee, ran out af bacon at 10am, boring).

Comment: Very good location. Nice breakfast. Good rooms. However the staff did not provide a service you would expect at a 4 star hotel. Our toilet bin was completely full when we arrived. It took two tries and two different receptionist to get it emptied. We where given different information from two staff members a about 'booking' a breakfast slot on day two. They each told us different 'rules'. We asked about the price for the different beverages in the room. The receptionist didn't want to tell us. We where on our way out, and she kept repeating: "Just ask when you need it". I tried asking several times.

Parking

As a guest at Elite Hotel Esplanade, you have access to our private parking garage, which is located in the building, for a fee of 275 SEK per day. The parking space must be pre-booked directly with the hotel since there are few spaces. Electric car spaces can be pre-booked subject to space for a fee of 375 SEK per day including electricity. The garage's entrance and exit are not connected directly to the hotel and are located on Isak Slaktaregatan.

Please note that the maximum height for a car is 1.8 meters. We do not recommend the hotel's garage for guests with larger cars as it is a smaller garage.

Room service

Room service is available during regular breakfast hours and Quans opening hours. If Quan is closed, we offer room service during our nearby restaurant TGI Fridays opening hours. We also accept orders at other times on request before arrival.

Quan's kitchen closes at 22.00.

The block called Rosen (the Rose) is located in the charming western part of central Malmö. According to legend, the name comes from a woman that used to live in the area and was so beautiful that she was called the Rose.

At the end of the 16th century, the area was the largest marketplace in the Nordic countries for traders, butchers, bakers, and fishermen. As the market grew each trade was allocated to a specific part of the square and the small sheds were eventually replaced by larger buildings. Today the remaining buildings are all listed.

The hotel's building was once a market hall and during the reconstruction, the builders found a treasure under a floor. The carved oak beam with the year 1651 is now protected under the glass top of a buffet table in the restaurant. Brick walls are kept from the original building in several rooms and in the corridors, you can study black and white pictures with from old days.
