Elite Stadshotellet is a grand and beautiful hotel with an atmosphere located in the centre of Växjö with shops, restaurants and the Central Station just around the corner. The hotel's history is exciting and many famous guests have stayed here over the years and then as now they return from year to year. Elite Stadshotellet is Växjö's largest hotel with its 163 hotel rooms. The variety of rooms is great and they are divided into different standard classes.
Do not miss our popular gastropub The Bishops Arms with a large selection of food and drinks. The beautiful banquet halls are suitable for both parties and conferences. Hotel guests work out for free at the nearby, well-equipped gym.

Trevlig personal och det gjordes det där lilla extra. Sambon fyllde år och vi fick en liten present och en extrasäng till sonen inställd utan att behöva be om det. Det uppskattas verkligen!
Wir haben das große Zimmer und das sehr gute Frühstück sehr genossen. Auch der nahe Parkplatz war für uns sehr praktisch.

Trevlig personal, fin Restaurang, Lobby, samt frukost. Fanns dock ingen telefon på rummet, exempelvis om det skulle hända något.
Jag är alltid mycket nöjd med bemötandet i receptionen, att jag fått möjligheten att få samma rum vid mina återkommande besök och en bra och sparsam frukost. Inget, trivs mycket bra!

Frukosten Sett till att jag fick bo i ett rum som faktiskt var så som jag önskade och blev informerad om att jag skulle få. Blev mycket besviken.. fick byta rum men det rummet låg precis över restaurangens kök och då kunde man inte ha fönstret öppet(pga ingen av på rummet). Hade jag haft fönstret öppet så hade mina kläder luktat mer matos än vad de gjorde ! Fogarna i badrummet såg dessutom mögliga ut. Dessutom hade rum 212 trasiga plattor i duschgolvet. Kändes som det rummet var ett omgjort förråd.

Att hotellet låg centralt + bra frukost - Lyhördheten från bishops - Se över städet. Två saknades och det var inte städat ordentligt i badrummet
Rummet låg in mot gården så det var tyst Städa bättre. Hittade skydd till rakhyvel i duschen och en extra toarulle

Läget. Frukosten. Den trevliga personalen. Restaurang Izakaya Moshi(suverän). Erbjudit ett rum som inte är slitet, saknar läslampa och har trasig sitt-ring på toaletten.
Hotellet som helhet, AC(tack o lov), frukost, Izakaya Lite besviken på frukostens utbud. Ingen lax ? Jist frukost har varit ett kännetecken för Elite Något som skilt ut er positivt jmf t.ex Scandic

The staff were extremely friendly. Alice was in reception when we arrived and she was extremely helpful explaining the car parking. The room was very comfortable, and everything was close...the museum, the cathedral, the lake and restaurants. Nothing
Stort och fint rum, trevlig miljö. Bra läge centralt. Allt var topp, trevlig personal som var tillmötesgående och service minded.
Personal Bättre ventilation
Topp service av de på vakt i resepsjonen. Ingen problem å holde rommet til kl. 14 på utsjekkdagen. Hyggelig med personlig kort, drikke og "godis" av hotellsjefen på rommet. God frokost, fint rom. Fikk ikke rengjort rommet (vi var to netter) 052 før 15-16-tiden. Til neste gang (vi spurte ikke) ønskes rom ikke vendt mot uteservering. Og: 300 kroner per natt for hund er for mye. Spesielt når vi bor to netter.

Only two blocks away from the hotel is a lake with a 4 km trail, which is suitable for walking, jogging or bicycling. Afterwards, you can cool off with a refreshing dip in the crystal clear water.
Enjoy a comfortable stay with your pets at our hotel. We offer a limited amount of rooms for those who want to bring their furry friend along. Stay together with your pet in your room for an additional cost of 300 SEK/stay. Take the time to experience the beautiful nature and enjoy long walks around the hotel area during your stay. Parking lots are available close to the hotel. Tickets are required weekdays 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and on Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. Other times free parking.
Please note that parking is not allowed on the north side of the parking area on Wednesdays and Saturdays, due to Farmer’s markets. If red day falls on Wednesdays or Saturdays, the market trade takes place the day before.
To avoid towing off and parking fines, make sure to always park your car in the southern area or the parking area (closest to the hotel).
Additional parking spaces at a lower cost is available one block away from the hotel.
Room service is offered daily between 05:00pm and 10:00pm. You can choose from our Bishops Arms menu.
Please note that a room service fee of SEK 120 will be added to your order.
We offer a laundry service. Laundry dropped off before 09:00am will be returned the same day. Laundry dropped off after 09:00am will be returned the following day. This service is available Monday–Friday. For more information, please contact the hotel reception.

History of the hotel
The Elite Stadshotellet in Växjö has a long and fascinating history that began in the 1840s when a devastating fire raged in Växjö. As many as 80 of the city's farms were reduced to ashes. After the catastrophic fire, Stortorget got its current design. On the northern part of the square, the state built a new residence for the governor and opposite on the southern side of the square, the city's new and beautiful Town Hall was built. At the same time, they took the opportunity to build a new Inn, where the architect Theodor Ankarsvärd was responsible for the design.
In the 1870s, another building was erected along Kungsgatan. The new building together with the inn formed the framework of what became Växjö Stadshotell. At the turn of the century, the town hall had also been put into use as a hotel, and in 1906 another building body was erected facing Sandgärdsgatan.
