Celebrate Oktoberfest with us at the Hotel Bishops Arms, between 14-24 September!
The festival has its origins in the wedding between the Bavarian heir to the throne Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Sachsen-Hildburghausen, a wedding that took place on October 12, 1810. The party that then started as a wedding party and horse race is now one of the world's largest folk festivals!
In Germany as here, the festivities always start sixteen days before the first Sunday in October and the celebration attracts people from all over the world.
