Elite Hotels of Sweden has been named Hotel Chain of the Year 2025 at the Grand Travel Award. The award is given by Travel News and is based on an extensive survey among industry representatives and travelers. The award ceremony took place on February 13 at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm, bringing together prominent figures from the entire travel industry.
"Being named Hotel Chain of the Year is a confirmation of our commitment to quality and top-class guest experiences. We constantly strive to develop our hotels and services to create memorable stays for our guests. It's our fantastic employees who make this possible, and we see this as a testament to their dedication and passion. Receiving this recognition from both the industry and travelers means a great deal to us", says David Halldén, CEO, Elite Hotels of Sweden.
The Grand Travel Award has been organized by Travel News since 1993 and is one of the most prestigious awards in the Swedish travel industry. The data is based on a large Nordic Bench survey, in which the Swedish public and business travelers participate. In this year's survey, a representative sample of just over 4,100 Swedes qualified, with the criterion that they made at least one trip with an overnight stay in the past year. Additionally, about 400 travel agency employees participated in a specially designed NPS (Net Promoter Score) survey to capture their professional opinion about travel companies.
In recent years, Elite Hotels of Sweden has undertaken several initiatives to strengthen its offerings, including investments in modernized hotel rooms, culinary ventures, and an increased focus on sustainability. With a combination of classic and innovative hotel concepts, the chain has established itself as a leading player in the Swedish hotel market.
