Elite Stora Hotellet is centrally located at Stora Torget in Linköping with a beautiful banquet hall and a prize-winning restaurant. The building was opened as early as 1852 and is one of Sweden's oldest city hotels in a magnificent Scandinavian Empire style.
Elite Stora Hotellet is located in central Linköping at the historical market square. The hotel offers 117 spacious rooms, some with magnificent views overlooking the vibrant square. Guests can enjoy the exercise room and sauna as well as running routes developed by the hotel.
When staying at Elite Stora Hotellet, Linköping's wide range of shopping and entertainment is right around the corner. The city's historical centre is within walking distance of the hotel, with the powerful cathedral and the cosy Old Town with boutiques and its annual Christmas market.
The hotel has three beautiful conference rooms with capacity for up to 130 people. Dating back to the 1850s, they are unique in their appearances and differs in sizes. There is also a group room with all necessary conference technology.
Next to the hotel's entrance is Storan Restaurant and Bar. This classic restaurant is one of Linköping's most visited and serves deliciously inspired dishes from all corners of the world. Our gastropub The Bishops Arms is within walking distance of the hotel (300 meter) and has a wide range of good food and drinks.

Services , lyhörd personal och faciliteter centralt läge Element på ett rum där jag bodde över natt fick morgonrock så jag inte frös. Blev flyttad till annat rum dagen efter.
Miljön Fler kontakter i rummet. De flesta vill ladda sina mobiler. Gärna spaanläggning. Bastun var inte uppvärmd och delades av båda könen. Gärna frukost längre på morgonen också på vardagar.
Väldigt trevligt hotell med ett mycket bra läge i stan. Jag kan inte komma på något.
Jag är återkommande gäst, allt är bra. Extra plus för den fina glutenfria sektionen på frukosten! Allt var bra. Dock var vårt rum iskallt tills vi såg att elementen var avstängda, kanske något att kolla upp när ni städar rummen inför ny gäst? I alla fall vintertid.

Allt Ngt mer färg i rummen typ på vattenrör….. men de har ju sin skarm de med ( e ju ett äldre hotell )

Jättefint hotell med suverän frukost. Nära till allt man kan önska sig under en weekend.
Placeringen mitt på torget och bra storlek på rum med två barn. Lite för låg standard på hotellet, slitet och toalett skitig vid incheckningen. Utbudet av barnvänliga ytor kunde göras betydligt bättre med enkla medel. Lounge möjligheter var väldigt dåligt och blev erbjudna att hyra ett konferensrum. Blev utelåste på nyårsnatten då korten till rummen slutade fungera.
Bra läge och bra rum. Nyårsmiddagen på Brasserie Storan var superbra, Bishop alltid bra, frukosten bra, sov gott i sängarna. Vi hade ett bra och stort rum. Börjar bli slitet. Flera stora trista fläckar på heltäckningsmattan, tätningen i duschen är i stort behov av byte då det är helt svart av mögel. Ser väldigt ofräscht ut. Elite borde ha en app och inte bara hemsida.

Trevligt bemötande vid ankomst, trevligt bemötande i baren och restaurangen, där vi åt och trevligt bemötande på frukosten. Kommer absolut att bo här fler gånger, och jag blev lite paff att servitören frågade min sambo om han oxå hade några allergier de bör ta hänsyn till, de kallar jag service 👍 En lampa på rummet i taket hade ingen lampskärm, lite dåligt skyltat vart gym och bastu fanns, då vi såg att det stod gym och bastu i hissen och på väggen vid utgången från hissen, men sen var det svårt att hitta vart man skulle gå, men vi hittade detta till slut.
Läget var bra. Det stank ur avloppet i toan, kunde knappt stå där och borsta tänderna. Medioker frukost. Slitna rum.
Alltid lika trevligt att övernatta här och vakna upp med en härlig frukost.

Läget, trevligt hotellrum med fönster ut mot Stortorget. Bra bemötande och frukosten är suverän och frukostsalen är fräsch och gott om sittplatser. Några glödlampor var ur funktion i rum 102. En bättre ljus och väggfast spegel hade behövts vid tvättbordet för smink och rakning. För övrigt 👌
Läget, skön säng, trevlig atmosfär, bra restaurang, bra frukost. Jag ogillar starkt de hemska kuddarna fyllda med något syntetiskt material och tar alltid med mig en egen kudde.

Personalen, mysigt rum, frukosten perfekt och det bästa av allt....snooze sunday...
Bemötandet av den trevlige receptionisten vid ankomst. Den snabba, goda och roliga roomservicen. Även våfflorna i den fina frukostmatsalen var uppskattade. Samt att de fanns hårfön, strykjärn och BRA schampo som gjorde att både jag och dottern kände oss som hemma! Den sköna och fint bäddade sängen gjorde dessutom att vi fick sova väldigt gott! Med andra ord en fin vistelse som vi gärna gör om vid tillfälle :)

We offer a limited number of parking spaces that can be pre-booked. Indoor parking is available for 180 SEK/night. Outdoor parking is available for 120 SEK/night. There are also two parking spaces for electric cars with 220 V sockets.

History of the hotel
Elite Stora Hotellet Linköping was built in 1852 and comprises three storeys. It is a historical site and one of the finer examples in Scandinavia of the Empire style, which was very much in fashion in Sweden between 1810 and 1850. Jonas Jonsson was the man responsible for the design and construction. He had worked in Stockholm with leading architects such as Axel Nyström, Fredrik Blom and Fredrik Scholander. Jonsson developed the Empire style, which he had learned from Axel Nyström, and his personal style is generally known as “Jonsson Empire”. He made use of the rich variety of decorative elements at his disposal. The hotel’s pilasters, for example, originally had an embossed pattern, now concealed by the smooth rendering.
Construction of the hotel marked the transition in Linköping from wooden buildings to stone buildings. In 1893, a fourth storey was added to the hotel, which altered the original proportions of the building substantially. The ground floor housed a bank at one time. The hotel is now one of the oldest city hotels in the country.

Linköping Central Station is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Follow the signs to the city centre, through the park (Järnvägsparken), turn left at Sankt Larsgatan, then right to Borgmästaregatan and Stora Torget where you will see the hotel.
By car from E4 South
Keep to the right at exit 113 Linköping Östra and follow road 35 towards Västervik/Åtvidaberg/Linköping Ö/Flygplats. Turn left at the second exit at the roundabout on to Norrköpingsvägen. Follow the road to the first exit in the roundabout to Tullbron. Turn right to the central station and left to Järnvägsgatan, left to Sankt Larsgatan and the third right to Borgmästaregatan. The sign ”Permit only vehicles” is not valid for our guests. Take the second exit to the left in to Stora torget and Elite Stora Hotellet.
By car from E4 north
Keep to the right at exit 111 Linköping Västra and follow road 34 towards Vimmerby/Motala/Linköping V. Continue to Malmslättsvägen, turn left at Östgötagatan, right to Vasavägen, right to Sankt Larsgatan and the third right on to Borgmästaregatan. The sign ”Permit only vehicles” is not valid for our guests. Take the second exit to the left in to Stora torget and Elite Stora Hotellet.
