Elite Stora Hotellet is centrally located at Stora Torget in Linköping with a beautiful banquet hall and a prize-winning restaurant. The building was opened as early as 1852 and is one of Sweden's oldest city hotels in a magnificent Scandinavian Empire style.
Elite Stora Hotellet is located in central Linköping at the historical market square. The hotel offers 117 spacious rooms, some with magnificent views overlooking the vibrant square. Guests can enjoy the exercise room and sauna as well as running routes developed by the hotel.
When staying at Elite Stora Hotellet, Linköping's wide range of shopping and entertainment is right around the corner. The city's historical centre is within walking distance of the hotel, with the powerful cathedral and the cosy Old Town with boutiques and its annual Christmas market.
The hotel has three beautiful conference rooms with capacity for up to 130 people. Dating back to the 1850s, they are unique in their appearances and differs in sizes. There is also a group room with all necessary conference technology.
Next to the hotel's entrance is Storan Restaurant and Bar. This classic restaurant is one of Linköping's most visited and serves deliciously inspired dishes from all corners of the world. Our gastropub The Bishops Arms is within walking distance of the hotel (300 meter) and has a wide range of good food and drinks.

Middagen kvällen innan samt frukostbuffén dagen efter. Fönstret gick inte att stänga helt så vi vaknade flera ggr under natten pga skrik/ljud från människor på gatan utanför (lördag kväll/natt). Kändes lite sunkigt överlag med rummet då tapeten håller på att ramla ner, det gick inte att tända när vi kom in till rummet pga gammal system med kort. Vi fick inget kort när vi checkade in för att tända, så vi fick gå tillbaka och då fick hon leta efter ett kort som någon hade lämnat på rummet. Jättemärkligt och överlag dålig standard. Inte Elite alls i våra ögon.

Allt! Trevlig personal, mysiga rum, en mycket vacker frukostsal med många valmöjligheter. En otroligt vacker byggnad. Superfint hotell!

Trevligt bemötande. Bra frukost och framförallt bra ljudnivå på musiken i frukostmatsalen. Checka av rummens belysning, ena sänglampa fungerade inte och vi glömde säga till om det. Rum 208.
Trevligt rum, fin utsikt och bra frukost Mer uppmärksam receptionspersonal. Ni behöver köpa fler mörka grova limpor, varje dag var de slut strax efter åtta.
Sorry not much Otrevlig personal, hamnade bredvid ett hundrum?? Hur han man ha ett hundrum i samband med övriga rum?? Hunden skällde hela natten och ett annat rum med ett hemskt barn bredvid. Sov ingenting och personalen var otrevlig och tog emot kritiken otroligt dåligt. Även dåligt utbud i frukosten

Its in the middle of the city and its a nice older building. The sewage in the bathroom was slow.

You can reach the hotel by car, but it can be difficult to find the way to the hotel from one-way streets and pedestrian zones. Outdoor parking is situated near the hotel.
We offer a limited number of parking spaces that can be pre-booked. Indoor parking is available for 180 SEK/night. Outdoor parking is available for 120 SEK/night. There are also two parking spaces for electric cars with 220 V sockets.
You are welcome to order breakfast directly to your room. Please fill in the room service form (located in the room) with your desired breakfast choice.

At Elite Stora Hotellet, we want to promote health and therefore we offer all who likes to run and exercise default routes in the app Runkeeper. We have produced our favourite rounds as you can easily follow, three routes of varying length from 2,5 to 10 kilometres.
You can leave your laundry and dry cleaning at the front desk before 09:00 and collect it the same day. Laundry and dry cleaning dropped off after 09:00 can be collected the following day. Available Monday–Friday.

History of the hotel
Elite Stora Hotellet Linköping was built in 1852 and comprises three storeys. It is a historical site and one of the finer examples in Scandinavia of the Empire style, which was very much in fashion in Sweden between 1810 and 1850. Jonas Jonsson was the man responsible for the design and construction. He had worked in Stockholm with leading architects such as Axel Nyström, Fredrik Blom and Fredrik Scholander. Jonsson developed the Empire style, which he had learned from Axel Nyström, and his personal style is generally known as “Jonsson Empire”. He made use of the rich variety of decorative elements at his disposal. The hotel’s pilasters, for example, originally had an embossed pattern, now concealed by the smooth rendering.
Construction of the hotel marked the transition in Linköping from wooden buildings to stone buildings. In 1893, a fourth storey was added to the hotel, which altered the original proportions of the building substantially. The ground floor housed a bank at one time. The hotel is now one of the oldest city hotels in the country.

By car from E4 South
Keep to the right at exit 113 Linköping Östra and follow road 35 towards Västervik/Åtvidaberg/Linköping Ö/Flygplats. Turn left at the second exit at the roundabout on to Norrköpingsvägen. Follow the road to the first exit in the roundabout to Tullbron. Turn right to the central station and left to Järnvägsgatan, left to Sankt Larsgatan and the third right to Borgmästaregatan. The sign ”Permit only vehicles” is not valid for our guests. Take the second exit to the left in to Stora torget and Elite Stora Hotellet.
By car from E4 north
Keep to the right at exit 111 Linköping Västra and follow road 34 towards Vimmerby/Motala/Linköping V. Continue to Malmslättsvägen, turn left at Östgötagatan, right to Vasavägen, right to Sankt Larsgatan and the third right on to Borgmästaregatan. The sign ”Permit only vehicles” is not valid for our guests. Take the second exit to the left in to Stora torget and Elite Stora Hotellet.
