Vackert hotell med bra läge
Så vackert hotell, urtrevlig personal och fräsch och god frukost. Ha två bagageställ på rummet. Ofta så är man ju två personer med varsin väska i dubbelrummen.
Den fantastiskt fina historiska byggnaden med alla dess spännande välgjorda utsmyckningar, atmosfären, frukostbuffen och givetvis personalen!

Trevlig personal, fin arkitektur, sköna sängar och god frukost! Allt man önskar av en hotellvistelse :D stort plus att det finns minikyl i rummen!!!

Elite Knaust är ett mycket trevligt hotell med bästa läget i Sundsvall. Superfint hotell med gamla anor. Jättefina rum, jättefin frukostmatsal med bästa frukostbuffén. Jag som är lite petig med kuddar önskar alltid lite hårdare kudde. Jag vet att man kan säga till i lobbyn att man önskar en annan kudde. Gjorde det en gång på Elite Malmö, men utbudet var litet. Oftast glömmer jag bort det och när jag går och lägger mig är det försent.

Mycket fin miljö Ac på rummet
Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam. Men: finns ingen klimatkontroll på rummen förutom en undermålig bordsfläkt. På ett fyrstjärnigt hotell. Gick inte heller att mörklägga rummet, under den ljusa svenska sommaren. Vi sov knappt alls första natten. Finns heller inte möjlighet att streama något på TVn, vilket hade varit trevligt och något som finns på alla Airbnbs idag och även mycket mer budgethotell utomlands. Fanns heller ingen möjlighet att kontakta receptionen från rummet då hotellet valt att ta bort rumstelefonerna. Vet inte hur man ska beställa room service exakt, det framgår inte. Kanske får man skicka ett brev? Också otroligt ofräsch heltäckningsmatta i rummet, en juniorsvit. Jag har bott på andra Elitehotell två gånger tidigare i år men nu är jag avskräckt.

Väldigt vackert hotell med trevliga utrymmen både för rekreation och frukost/mat. Trevlig personal med bra bemötande. Vi blev mycket nöjda med rummet och att det fanns både kylskåp och säkerhetsskåp som fungerade bra. Ingenting den här gången. Jag brukar ha åsikter runt logistiken i frukostmatsalen, men tycker att ni ordnat det bra utifrån tillgängligt utrymme.

Den trevliga personalen och vårt rum. Att dem tar emot hundar. Kändes lite konstigt att be om tid till frukosten när ingen stod där och checkade av. Men jag förstår att man vi ha en ca tid när hotellet är fullbelagt.

Ett fint städat rum och trevligt bemötande av personalen. Trevligt att kunna dricka kaffe och te i väntan på rummet. Tillgång till bastu. Det enda som var dåligt var den lilla vattenkokaren som inte var så fräsch.

Selve bygningen, arkitekturen. Selve sengen var helt nedslidt. Madrassen bulede nedad i midten, så vi hele tiden faldt ind mod midten. Vi ankom til morgenmad 09:05. Der var ingen franskbrød eller rugbrød (white bread, rye bread). 15 minutter senere kom 20 små mørke boller.

We have two bikes with bicycle baskets for our hotel guests. Although Sundsvall city centre is located in a valley between two mountains, there are plenty of nice bike paths that do not require much effort. If you do not fear challenging slopes, it is of course also possible to take a bike ride to both Northern and South Mountain. Well worth a visit for a striking view and beautiful scenery. Welcome to experience our city by bike!
We offer a relaxation area with mixed sauna and lounge chairs as well as access to a number of exercise machines and dumbbells. The relaxation area is unmanned but free to use for our guests. The sauna is heated from 16:00. If you would like to use the sauna during other hours, please notify the front desk and we will help you.

History of the hotel
Hotel Knaust was built in 1891 and is one of Sweden's most famous hotels. Its stunning white marble staircase in the entrance is renowned. Many stories exist about wild parties, distinguished guests, and even a horse on the staircase from the turn of the century when Sundsvall's Timber Merchants lived in their glory days.
After the hotel closed in 1978, Elite Hotel Knaust reopened in autumn 2002, combining modern design and art with the old architecture in a tasteful blend.
