Elite Stadshotellet is a grand and beautiful hotel with an atmosphere located in the centre of Växjö with shops, restaurants and the Central Station just around the corner. The hotel's history is exciting and many famous guests have stayed here over the years and then as now they return from year to year. Elite Stadshotellet is Växjö's largest hotel with its 163 hotel rooms. The variety of rooms is great and they are divided into different standard classes.
Do not miss our popular gastropub The Bishops Arms with a large selection of food and drinks. The beautiful banquet halls are suitable for both parties and conferences. Hotel guests work out for free at the nearby, well-equipped gym.

Servicen. Städa rummet. Låg fullt med matrester på balkongen. Golvvärmen fungerade ej och badkaret va inte så fräscht.
Sköna sängar, tyst och lugnt och en fantastisk frukost. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal i receptionen :) Allt var bra !!

Frukosten var väldigt fin. Rummet vi bokade motsvarande inte alls det vi är vana vid. Tar jag samma rum till samma pris på best Western ( där vi alltid) bor så är rummet större, choklad på kudden när man kommer, det finns kyl med gratis ramlösa och som välkomstpaket får man lite godis och chips . Det känns helt enkelt lite mysigt. Ingen sådant hos er och att det finns marmor i badrummet kan faktiskt kvitta.

It's my third time to stay in this fantastic hotel.. The room that we stayed.. or rather my boyfriend and I as we call it " the red dragon's " room. We absolutely had an awesome stay. We actually plan to come back here even if we don't have any chess tournament. The breakfast was awesome.. in all Elite Hotel we've been, Elite Stads Vaxjo has the best bacon so far. and kudos to Sara of reception and all Elite Staffs.. everyone was very friendly and accommodating, always willing to help. the room was perfect and so cozy but would be a little nicer if hand liquid soap is available by the sink and for bubble bath, bathrobes would also be nice as add-ons. Breakfast was perfect, but I still prefer bigger slice chunks of pineapple fruit.
It makes us really happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay in our hotel. We hope to see you soon again.

Only two blocks away from the hotel is a lake with a 4 km trail, which is suitable for walking, jogging or bicycling. Afterwards, you can cool off with a refreshing dip in the crystal clear water.
Enjoy a comfortable stay with your pets at our hotel. We offer a limited amount of rooms for those who want to bring their furry friend along. Stay together with your pet in your room for an additional cost of 200 SEK/night. Take the time to experience the beautiful nature and enjoy long walks around the hotel area during your stay. Parking lots are available close to the hotel. Tickets are required weekdays 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and on Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. Other times free parking.
Please note that parking is not allowed on the north side of the parking area on Wednesdays and Saturdays, due to Farmer’s markets. If red day falls on Wednesdays or Saturdays, the market trade takes place the day before.
To avoid towing off and parking fines, make sure to always park your car in the southern area or the parking area (closest to the hotel).
Additional parking spaces at a lower cost is available one block away from the hotel.
Room service is offered daily between 05:00pm and 10:00pm. You can choose from our Bishops Arms menu.
Please note that a room service fee of SEK 120 will be added to your order.
At Elite Stadshotellet we want to promote health and therefore we offers all who likes to run and exercise default routes in the app Runkeeper. We have produced our favorite round as you can easily follow, 5 kilometers around Växjösjön.

We offer a laundry service. Laundry dropped off before 09:00am will be returned the same day. Laundry dropped off after 09:00am will be returned the following day. This service is available Monday–Friday. For more information, please contact the hotel reception.

History of the hotel
The Elite Stadshotellet in Växjö has a long and fascinating history that began in the 1840s when a devastating fire raged in Växjö. As many as 80 of the city's farms were reduced to ashes. After the catastrophic fire, Stortorget got its current design. On the northern part of the square, the state built a new residence for the governor and opposite on the southern side of the square, the city's new and beautiful Town Hall was built. At the same time, they took the opportunity to build a new Inn, where the architect Theodor Ankarsvärd was responsible for the design.
In the 1870s, another building was erected along Kungsgatan. The new building together with the inn formed the framework of what became Växjö Stadshotell. At the turn of the century, the town hall had also been put into use as a hotel, and in 1906 another building body was erected facing Sandgärdsgatan.
