Terms and Conditions

Below you will find the terms and conditions that apply to booking a room at Elite Hotels of Sweden.

Any changes regarding general booking conditions may occur when signing company agreements or any other form of agreements, but in that case, the conditions will always appear in the contract and confirmation.

For group bookings (more than 10 rooms) or conference bookings, other conditions will apply. 

BOOKING & CONFIRMATION 

Our booking conditions apply regardless of whether the booking was made on our website, via our Central Booking or directly via one of our hotels. 

When booking, the following information must be provided: 

  • Desired hotel
  • Arrival and departure dates
  • First and last names
  • Mobile number
  • Email address
  • A credit card number for guarantee may be required for some bookings.

A written confirmation is sent to the specified email address and makes the booking binding in connection with obtaining a booking number.

cancellation or rebooking 

Our cancellation/rebooking conditions will differ depending on which price, package or offer is booked. These will always be provided in the confirmation.

In our general booking conditions, a cancellation or rebooking can take place no later than 14.00 on the day of arrival. If a cancellation occurs later, or if the room is not used, the guest undertakes to pay for the first night's accommodation. If the booking is pre-paid and non-refundable, Elite Hotels of Sweden will retain the pre-payment for the entire duration of the stay.

Certain reservations that have been prepaid and that are not refundable, can be rebooked once free of charge for another date at the same hotel and done so via ombokning@elite.se. The terms and conditions will appear when making a booking. If rebooking is done for any night with a higher price, the difference will then be charged at the time of rebooking.

If a booking was made with membership points, the points are returned to the member’s account if the cancellation takes place no later than 14.00 on the day of arrival, provided that the points that the bonus night was booked for have not expired at the time of cancellation. If the cancellation occurs later, and alternatively if the room is not used, the points will then be recognised as used.

In connection with a rebooking, changes may occur regarding the price, as our pricing is based on the demand that applies for any specific day. If the number of nights booked changes in connection with a rebooking, availability and prices may change. Any price change will be displayed in connection with the rebooking. In case of an ongoing stay, earlier departures must be notified to the hotel no later than 11.00 on the same day.

payment

Payment can either be made at the time of booking or upon arrival at the hotel, however, some prices and offers require advance payment at the time of booking.

All hotels accept the most common credit and debit cards including VISA, Mastercard/Eurocard, Maestro, AMEX and Diners.  UnionPay, Discover, Vpay and JCB are also approved for payment. The hotels are not obliged to accept all available payment cards.  

We collaborate with Klarna to be able to provide other available payment methods. You can pay immediately, split the purchase into smaller payments or pay later with a fee-free invoice. If you have any questions regarding your payment, you can contact Klarna directly in Klarna app or by calling 08 – 120 120 10. Our hotels are cashless. This means that payment with all forms of checks or cash in foreign currency is not possible. Currency exchange cannot be done at the hotels.  

Arrival and departure  

Check-in can take place from 15.00 on the day of arrival and check-out must take place no later than 11.00 on the day of departure. Deviations may occur depending on the type of booking, offer or package. Earlier check-in and later check-out are offered for a fee of SEK 100 per hour, subject to availability.  Elite Hotels Rewards members have benefits that allow for more generous check-in and check-out times, subject to availability.  

responsibility for damage   

In the case of damage caused by negligence, the guest will be charged. All our hotels are non-smoking. In the case of violation, the hotel will demand compensation for extra cleaning of the room. This fee is a minimum of SEK 3 000.   

storage of valuables and luggage  

Before and after your stay, you have the opportunity to store your luggage in a luggage room that is available in all our hotels. Never leave valuables or luggage unattended when staying at the hotel.  

The hotel is not responsible for guests' valuables and luggage, regardless of whether they are kept in the room, in valuables boxes or stored in a luggage room.   

For security reasons, the hotel has the right to refuse storage of property considered of a high value or property that could lead to danger for the hotel as a whole, our staff and/or other guests.

For security reasons, it is not permitted for you as a guest to have additional people, who are not included in the booking, stay in the hotel room.   

for your own safety    

It is important for your own safety and that of others, that you take note of our safety regulations and stay informed about the location of emergency exits, alarm buttons and fire extinguishers. See instructions on the inside of your hotel room door.  

processing of personal data     

We protect your privacy and comply with the applicable legislation that aims to protect you as a private person (General Data Protection Regulation). Elite Hotels of Sweden (556248-5259) collects personal data from hotel guests and members of our loyalty program, Elite Hotels Rewards. By personal data we mean information that can be directly or indirectly linked to a living person. Elite Hotels is responsible for personal data that you provide to us.

FORCE MAJEURE     

Events beyond the control of the contracting parties, such as strikes, lockouts, fires, etc., which make it impossible to fulfill the obligations in this agreement, give the hotel the right to cancel the agreement without any liability for compensation.

The agreed prices are binding for both parties, but the hotel reserves the right to adjust the prices as a result of changed costs in the event of increased taxes and fees or other circumstances beyond the hotel's control.

By becoming a member of our loyalty program, we offer the opportunity to collect points, receive member discounts, restaurant vouchers and have access to exclusive promotions and benefits.

Earned points can be used, among other things, to book bonus nights.

FLEX price
 

Our public daily price with flexible terms. Free rebooking/cancellation until 14.00 on the day of arrival. The reservation must be guaranteed with a credit card. Payment can be made either at the time of booking or at the hotel upon arrival. 


WEBsite price
– non refundable

Discounted online price that is paid at the time of booking and can only be booked at elite.se.

The booking is non-refundable, but can be rebooked once for another date at the same hotel via ombokning@elite.se. If rebooking is done for nights with a higher price, the difference will be charged at the time of rebooking. 


MEmber price

Discounted price with flexible terms for members. Free rebooking/cancellation until 14.00 on the day of arrival. The reservation must be guaranteed with a credit card. Payment can be made either at the time of booking or at the hotel on arrival.


MEmbership price – non-refundable
 

Discounted online price for members which is paid at the time of booking and can only be booked at elite.se. The booking is non-refundable, but can be rebooked once for another date at the same hotel via ombokning@elite.se. If rebooking is done for any nights with a higher price, the difference will be charged at the time of rebooking.

RIces for children

The minimum age to stay in a hotel without a guardian is 18 years.  

Children up to 2 years old stay for free of charge in existing beds or in cots, which must be booked in advance. Please note that the number of cots available are limited. 

Children between 3 and 9 stay free of charge in existing beds in selected room types. 

Bookings cannot be made online, but only by contacting our Central reservation on phone 0771-788 789 or email centralreservation@elite.se.

Children up to 13 years are charged SEK 100/night for an extra bed.  

Children aged 14 and over and adults are charged from SEK 400/night for an extra bed.  

Local deviations may occur regarding the price and the possibility of booking an extra bed.  

At selected hotels, Teen Rooms are offered for young people up to 17 years of age, at a favorable price when booking an additional room for the parents at the same time. Contact the hotel directly when enquiring.


PRIces for pets
 

The majority of our hotels are pet-friendly and accept pets in the room for a supplement of SEK 200/night (no supplement required for guide dogs). A water and food bowl as well as a blanket or bed are always provided. Pets may stay in the hotel room, but this does not mean that they are welcome in the restaurant or other public areas of the hotel. Check with the hotel what applies, as it can vary between our hotels. The number of bookable rooms where pets are allowed is limited and must be booked in advance. In the event of damage to rooms and other premises caused by pets, you as a guest may be liable for compensation.
